Delaware Tops JMU, 4-3, for First CAA Win Since 2013

WILMINGTON, Del. – The Blue Hens are off to their best start in 25 seasons following Sunday's 4-3 victory over James Madison at Delcastle Tennis Center.
The win also marks the first for Delaware over a Colonial Athletic Association opponent since April 2013 and the first against the Dukes since April 2009.
JMU swept doubles play to take the 1-0 advantage heading into singles action.
Liam Hedlund collected his fifth straight win of the year to tie things up at 1-1 with his No. 5 singles victory over Damon Roberts.
In top-flight play, James Wilkinson posted his 20th career victory by topping Paul Mendoza while Luis Molina followed with his team-leading 13th win over the season in the second spot to put the Hens ahead, 3-1.
Bryan Paliska made a splash in his Delaware debut by clinching the team victory in No. 6 singles after battling for the three-set win over Gonzalo Adis.
UD last opened the year with an 8-1 record during the 1994-95 campaign.
