KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Delaware senior forward Dylan Painter was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) first team All-District 10 on Tuesday.
Painter, who was selected first team All-CAA earlier this month, enjoyed an outstanding season for the Blue Hens as he led the CAA and ranks fifth nationally with 11.5 rebounds per game. His seven double-doubles were also the most in the league, and he recorded double-doubles in six of the final eight games of the year.
Painter grabbed double digit rebounds in nine of UD's 15 games, including each of the final seven regular season contests which was the longest streak by a Blue Hen since 2012. His 13.5 points per game were second on the team and 14th in the conference, while his 1.1 blocks ranked third in the CAA and his 51.5 field goal percentage was the eighth highest in the league.
Painter collected at least 15 rebounds in five consecutive games from Jan. 9-24, including a monster effort at UNCW when he tied his career-highs with 23 points and 19 rebounds.
Painter was joined on the first team by Matt Lewis of James Madison, Tyson Walker of Northeastern, Camren Wynter of Drexel and Jalen Ray of Hofstra.
