Femke Strien Earns Second Straight CAA Player of the Week Award

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware Field Hockey senior Femke Strien was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week for second consecutive week on Tuesday.
Strien totaled six points including two goals and two assists in back-to-back victories for the Blue Hens last week. In Delaware's conference opener, Strien assisted on two of the Blue Hens' four goals to beat Towson 4-0. Then in a matchup with Temple, Strien was on the scoring end of two goals in a 4-0 victory over the Owls. Strien leads the CAA in points (9) and points per game (3.00) and is tied atop the league in goals (3).
The three-time letter winner for the Blue Hens now has career totals of 31 goals and 20 assists in 59 career games.
The Blue Hens will next face CAA foe Northeastern on Friday, April 2nd at Rullo Stadium.
