Etxezarreta Ties for Third Place With Impressive Performance at Pinetree Women’s Collegiate

KENNESAW, Ga. – Delaware freshman Oihana Etxezarreta tied for third place by finishing at one over par to lead the Blue Hen women's golf team at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate this week.
Etxezarreta carded an even par 72 during her final round on the par 72, 6,203-yard Pinetree Country Club course to finish tied for third out of 62 golfers with a 75-70-72-217. She eagled the 11th hole on Tuesday and added birdies on the 16th and sixth holes.
Beatrice Wallin of Florida State was the tournament medalist at four under par, Beatriz Barrios of Chattanooga finished second at one under par, and Etxezarreta was one of four golfers who tied for third at one over.
Lexi Dart tied for 20th place at the tournament with a nine over par 80-73-72-225, while Christina Carroll tied for 33rd place with a 12 over par 82-72-74-228.
Liz Coffren fired a 23 over par 84-78-77-239 to finish in 52nd place, while Anna Kittelson shot a 29 over par 81-84-80-245 to tie for 59th place. Siena Ferrick, playing as an individual, also tied for 59th with an 89-81-75-245.
Delaware tied for the second lowest team score of the day with a 295, finishing in a tie for seventh place out of 10 squads with a 906 three-round total. Fifth-ranked Florida State carded an 862 score, easily winning the team title by 25 strokes.
