Delaware will regroup after dropping two this weekend
TOWSON, Md. – The University of Delaware volleyball team fell in straight sets Sunday afternoon at SECU Arena at the hands of Towson (23-25, 18-25, 20-25) in the finale of a two-match, home-and-home series.
Redshirt junior Michaela Putnicki returned to the lineup and led the Blue Hens with nine kills and 11 digs while sophomore Lauryn Richardson and freshman Lily Rogers each added eight putaways, while Rogers added 16 assists.
Junior Grace Underwood went 6-0-9, hitting at a .667 clip with a block.
The Tigers were efficient, hitting .367 on the afternoon and putting two players in double-figures.
Delaware returns to action next weekend with a pair of matches at Northeastern to continue CAA North play. Both matches begin at 2 p.m.
