Robinson Receives CAA Rookie and USILA Team of the Week Nod

NEWARK, Del. – Mike Robinson of the Delaware men's lacrosse team was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week and named to the USILA Team of the Week on Tuesday.
It marks the second time this season that the second-year attack received the weekly recognition from the CAA and USILA.
Robinson recorded a game-high eight points on a game-best seven goals and one assist in a 16-11 come-from-behind home win over Fairfield this past Saturday. He led the Blue Hens' second half comeback efforts by scoring five goals in the third quarter alone to give his team the lead that it would go on to hold for the remainder of the game.
His seven goals put him at 33 for the year, which leads the CAA and is tied for first in Division I. The Peterborough, Ontario, native has recorded a hat trick in every outing this season.
Robinson and the No. 12 Blue Hens return to play on Saturday when they host Drexel for a noon CAA tilt at Delaware Stadium. Drexel is receiving votes in the USILA Coaches Poll and Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.Â
