Long, Novakovich, Painter Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Davis Long, Aleks Novakovich and Dylan Painter represented the University of Delaware on the 2020-21 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court announced Thursday.
Long, a financial planning and wealth management major, has appeared in 18 career games for the Blue Hens. A rising senior, he has totaled eight points, six assists and five rebounds.
Novakovich, a management information systems major, appeared in 10 games while making five starts for Delaware this season. He averaged 3.8 points and 2.7 assists, and scored a season-high 10 points in the season opener vs. Salem.
Painter recently graduated from Delaware as a health behavior science major and will attend UD this upcoming year as a grad student. He was a first team All-CAA and All-District selection this season when he led the conference and ranked sixth in the nation with 11.5 rebounds per game. A member of the league's All-Defensive Team, Painter was second on the Blue Hens with a 13.5 scoring average and led the CAA with seven double-doubles.
In order to be named to the NABC Honors Court, an athlete must be a junior or senior academically, boast a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year, and have matriculated at least one year at his current institution.
