Delaware Men’s Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Delaware men's basketball program has been honored with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award, created by the NABC Committee on Academics.

The award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2020-21 academic year.

To earn the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes on the basketball roster during the 2020-21 season.

Seven Blue Hens were named to the CAA Academic Honor Roll this year: Gianmarco Arletti, Ebby Asamoah, Davis Long, Jameer Nelson, Jr., Aleks Novakovich, O.D. Ogunbo, and Fred Rullo IV. Long, Novakovich and Dylan Painter were selected to the NABC Honors Court on Tuesday.
