CAA Announces Men’s Basketball Conference Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team learned its dates for conference opponents as the Colonial Athletic Association announced its 2021-22 league schedule on Thursday.
The Blue Hens open their CAA slate with a road trip at UNCW (Dec. 29) and Charleston (Dec. 31). Delaware then plays its league home opener vs. James Madison (Jan. 3) and before welcoming Towson (Jan.5) to the Bob Carpenter Center.
Additional CAA home games include William & Mary (Jan. 20), Elon (Jan. 22), Drexel (Feb. 5), Northeastern (Feb. 10), Hofstra (Feb. 12), Charleston (Feb. 24) and UNCW (Feb. 26).
The CAA's 10 teams will return to a traditional conference scheduling model this winter with an 18- game schedule, travel partners, and double round-robin format.
The conference slate will feature eight game dates from December 29-January 17. The stretch wraps up with all 10 teams competing for the first time on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, providing each institution with the opportunity to promote its initiatives that focus on eliminating racial and social injustice.
The final six weekends of CAA play will follow a traditional Thursday-Saturday schedule with the regular season concluding Saturday, Feb. 26.
The CAA Men's Basketball Championship will return to the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., in 2022, on March 5-8 in the nation's capital.
Delaware returns its entire roster from last year, including starting guards Kevin Anderson and Ryan Allen along with first team All-CAA forward Dylan Painter.
Season ticket renewals will begin on August 30. Season ticket members will receive the seats they had in the 2019-20 season. Any deposits made on season tickets will be applied to your 2021-22 season order.
