Women's Soccer Match Preview: Northeastern

» Sunday's match versus Northeastern at Delaware Stadium at 1 p.m. marks the start of Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play for the Blue Hens. Delaware wrapped up non-conference play with a 3-6 mark.

» Sunday's contest is the 23rd all-time meeting between Delaware and Northeastern. Last time out in the spring of 2021, the Huskies came away with a 2-0 win over the Blue Hens. Northeastern has won the last two outings against the Blue Hens, but Delaware holds the edge in games in Newark at 6-3-1.

» McKenna McManus leads NU with five points (2 goals, 1 assist). Three different players have made an appearance in the net with Angeline Friel getting the start last week. NU's last win was a 1-0 victory at Rhode Island on Aug. 29.

» Northeastern was picked to finish fourth in the preseason polls, while Delaware was voted to finish tied for eighth.

» Sara D'Appolonia leads UD with six points (2 goals, 2 assists). Diffendal is second with four points (1 goal, 2 assists). Goalkeeper Lauren Krinsky has made 23 saves on the season.
