Blue Hens Tie For 12th Place at Golfweek Red Sky Classic

WOLCOTT, Colo. – The Delaware women's golf team tied for 12th place at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic this week.
The Blue Hens carded rounds of 288 and 310 to finish tied for 12th out of 20 teams at the invitational, which was cut short by a round due to inclement weather. East Tennessee State was the team champion with a 570 score, while Denver finished one shot back.
UD sophomore Oihana Etxezarreta tied for 13th place among individuals with an even par 69-75-144 on the par 72, 6,305-yard Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club. Etxezarreta fired four birdies and nine pars during her second round of the tournament on Tuesday.
Anna Kittelson tied for 42nd place with a five over par 71-78-149, while Christina Carroll tied for 58th place with an eight over par 72-80-152. Lexi Dart carded a nine over par 76-77-153 to finish in a tie for 57th place at the invitational.
Delaware returns to action on Oct. 16-17 when it hosts the Lady Blue Hen Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
