Dylan Painter Named CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen forward Dylan Painter was named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after leading Delaware to three wins last week.
Painter averaged team-highs of 16.7 points and 10.7 rebounds during the Blue Hens' three victories, shooting 15 of 24 (62.5%) from the field and 20 of 26 (76.9%) from the foul line. He also blocked 10 shots and dished out nine assists during the week.
Painter led UD with 20 points and nine rebounds in last Monday's 82-76 overtime win at Northeastern and added seven points, a game-best 11 rebounds, and a career-high six blocks in Thursday's victory over William & Mary. He then tied his career-high with 23 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds to post a double-double Saturday vs. Elon.
Painter leads the Blue Hens and ranks fifth in the CAA with 8.2 rebounds per game, and also leads the team and ranks sixth in the league with a 14.5 scoring average. His six double-doubles are tied for second most in the conference, while his 57.0 field goal percentage ranks sixth.
