Women’s Tennis Preview: George Washington

» The Delaware women's tennis team opens the spring season on Friday afternoon when the Blue Hens travel to George Washington for a dual match against the Colonials. The match will begin at 12 p.m. at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center in Washington, D.C.

» The teams will open with three doubles matches, vying for one team point. After the doubles point is decided, the teams will play six singles matches until one team reaches four points.

» Delaware competed in four tournaments before going 1-1 in a pair of dual matches during the fall season. Julieta Honrubia led the Blue Hens with a 10-5 record in singles action, while Eliza Askarova finished with seven victories.

» In doubles action, the Blue & Gold combined to go 19-10 overall. The duo of Askarova and Isabella Montana led the way with a 6-3 record, and Honrubia had nine total wins wins while teaming up with three different partners.
