Jyare Davis Named CAA Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen forward Jyare Davis has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Davis averaged 14.5 points and 4.0 rebounds during the Blue Hens' two official games last week while shooting 13 of 17 (76.5) from the field.
Davis hit all three of his field goal attempts to finish with seven points during last Monday's home game against Towson, before scoring six points and leading the Blue Hens with five rebounds in the first half at Towson on Thursday.
He then scored a career-high 22 points during Saturday's win at James Madison, going 10 of 14 from the field, grabbing a career-best seven rebounds, and leading UD with a career-high six assists.
Davis, who earned his first CAA Rookie of the Week honor, is averaging 5.5 points and 2.2 rebounds on the season.
