Sabbagh Awarded Co-CAA Rookie of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware field hockey freshman Noelle Sabbagh was awarded the Colonial Athletic Association's Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday, Oct. 10.
This is the second time this season Sabbagh earned Rookie of the Week honors. She earned the honor back on Sept. 12.
Sabbagh scored the game-winning goal in Friday's win against No. 20 William & Mary 3-2. Despite facing a one-goal deficit in the game's final seven minutes, the Blue Hens rallied off a pair of goals, including Sabbagh's game-winner in the 59th minute. The Blue Hens earned their first win against a ranked opponent this season and improved to 2-1 in CAA play. It marks Sabbagh's fifth goal this season and the first game-winning goal in her career. The freshman sits second in the league in goals for first-year players.
The Blue Hens return to conference play for a road game against Towson on Friday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m.
