Newark, Del.– The University of Delaware cross country team will split up their squad this weekend, heading to the PSU National Open at Penn State on Friday and hosting the Delaware Invitational on Saturday.

What You Need to Know
- Delaware is set to travel to University Park, Pa. on Friday for the PSU National Open and host the Delaware Invitational on Saturday at White Clay Creek State Park.
- Delaware comes off its performance at the 48th Annual Paul Short Run where freshman Tiffany Herrera placed first among Blue Hen competitors, crossing the finish line in 53rd with a time of 22:12.5.
- The Blue Hens will compete in the PSU National Open for the first time since 2016.
- At last year's Delaware Invitational, Danielle Eshelman earned the top finish among current Blue Hens athletes, placing 6th with a time of 24:17.6, helping Delaware to a team title.
- Delaware will send 10 different athletes to Penn State, including Nina Sgambelluri and Autumn Sands, who each were among the top three Blue Hens finishers at the Roy Griak Invitational.
- The Blue Hens will have nine different athletes competing in the Delaware Invitational, including Stephanie Herrera and Jessica Pidgeon, who each finished in the top five of Delaware athletes at the Paul Short Run.
