NEWARK, Del. - Delaware's men's soccer team was defeated by Northeastern, 3-0, at Grant Stadium in the season finale. The Huskies (6-8-3, 4-4-1) scored two goals in the first half and tacked on a third during the second half.

Ole Kjorholt scored the game's first goal during the 10th minute, then Jacob Marin-Thomson scored in the 31st minute. In between, Vik made a fury of saves during the 15th, 18th, and 19th minutes to stop three shots to try to shift the momentum back toward the Blue Hens (4-11-2, 2-6-1).

Fabrizio Cubeddu scored Northeastern's final goal during the 51st minute. Delaware outshot Northeastern, 16-7, during the match, with both sides having seven shots on goal. Delaware also had eight corner kicks as compared to Northeastern's seven. Delaware finished the first year of the Tommy McMenemy era with major improvements in total wins and conference wins, and had an opportunity to make this year's CAA Conference Tournament all the way up until today's final game.
