Field Hockey Preview: NCAA Tournament First Round against North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Delaware field hockey (10-11) is set to take top-seed and undefeated North Carolina in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, November 11 at noon at Karen Shelton Stadium.
This will be the first time the two teams have faced each other since the 2016 National Championship game when the Blue Hens defeated the Tar Heels 3-2 to win their first National Championship.

Delaware defeated Lehigh 4-0 in Wednesday's Opening Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Hens have won an NCAA Tournament game in each of the past two seasons. It was the Blue Hens' first shutout in an NCAA Tournament game since 2016 when the Blue Hens defeated Louisville 1-0. The Blue Hens had four different goal scorers in Wednesday's victory.
