Women's Swimming And Diving Finishes Third At Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Penn. - Delaware's women's swimming and diving team finished in third place at the Bucknell Invitational after their third and final day of competition. The Blue Hens finished with 1101.5 points, behind host Bucknell (1312) and Fordham (1151.5). Connecticut (1055.5), La Salle (984), Davidson (936.5), Bloomsburg (266), and Rider (94).

Cristin Earley set a new program record in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.57.

In the 100 free, Mira Selling placed first with a time of 50.32, while Anthi Lyra finished in ninth place with a time of 51.26. Natalie Dobrzykowski finished in 11th (51.78) and Nicole Chiappa finished 15th (52.57).

Selling recorded another first place finish with a time of 2:02.39 in the 200 fly. Alexandra Misikova (2:05.82) finished in fifth place.

Jenna Leonard came in fourth place in the 200 breast (2:16.55), and Mania Tasakou placed seventh (2:19.13) and Erin Lillis placed eighth (2:21.10). Marietta Gately finished in 15th (2:25.81).

Also in the 200 back, Erin Shema placed eighth in the A-Final with a time of 2:09.77, while Dobrzykowski finished with a time of 2:03.99.

The 400 free relay team of Lyra, Chiappa, Dobrzykowski, and Selling finished third with a time of 3:23.98.

Alex Pastris came in fifth place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 235.65.

Weekend Program Records Set

Mira Selling originally set the 200 IM Delaware record during preliminaries, then re-broke it during the finals with a time of 1:59.01 to finish in second place. Selling also set the program record in the 400 IM with a time of 4:16.49.
Erin Shema set the 100 back school record as the lead in the 400 medley relay, as she finished with a split of 54.59 to set the mark. She then re-broke the record during day two with a time 54.42.
The team of Erin Shema, Mania Tasakou, Aislinn Mitchell, and Mira Selling set the program record in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:41.34 and finished in first place.
Cristin Earley set a new program record in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.57.
