Hartford inched closer, up to the halfway point with the Blue Hens ahead 19-14. A 13-3 run over the next 6:07 pushed the Blue & Gold ahead by 15 in part to a defensive effort to keep the Hawks off the board for the last 3:01 of that span. Delaware ended the half with a 13-point lead, 37-24, the most points scored to start a game this season.
After swapping the first 10 points of the second half, Delaware sliced up the defense with a 15-1 run over a 3:06 span, which featured three triples, a big dunk from Nelson Jr., and a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor to push the Hens up 57-33. After a triple from the Hawks, Delaware slowed things down, taking the next eight straight over a 2:35 spurt to hold a steady 65-37 lead with 7:58 left. Each team tallied 13 points apiece the rest of the way for the Blue Hens to pick up the win.

Delaware looks to conclude the Cathedral Classic on Sunday with a perfect 3-0 record as it takes on the hosting Quakers at 4:30 p.m.
