NEWARK, Del. – The No. 18/16 University of Delaware football team hosts Monmouth for the first time as conference foes this weekend when the two programs square off on Saturday afternoon at Delaware Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on FloSports and NBC Sports Philadelphia.

About the Blue Hens
- The Blue Hens are looking to bounce back after a tough 27-7 setback at Elon last weekend. Nolan Henderson finished 25-of-40 passing for 202 yards and a touchdown pass to Braden Brose.
- Jourdan Townsend led the receiving corps with seven catches for 71 yards, while Chandler Harvin added five grabs for 50 yards.
- Johnny Buchanan led the Delaware defense with 16 tackles against Elon for his fifth double-digit performance of the season. He continues to lead all of FCS with 102 total tackles and 12.8 tackles per game, and ranks second in all of Division I (FBS & FCS) in total tackles.
- Henderson has passed for 2,068 yards on the season and is tied for the CAA lead with 20 touchdowns through the air. He has passed for more than 200 yards in seven-consecutive games which is the third-longest streak in program history.
- The Blue Hen defense continues to be one of the toughest in all of FCS, ranking third in both scoring (13.9 ppg) and total (266.1 ypg) defense as well as second in pass defense (120.2 ypg). UD has not allowed an opposing quarterback to pass for 200 yards in a game, and has held three opponents under 100 yards passing.
Scouting Monmouth
- Monmouth enters Saturday's contest with a 4-5 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the CAA. The Hawks have lost their last three games, all in conference play, after winning four-straight.
- The Hawks are averaging a CAA-best 39.9 ppg and 480.9 yards of total offense, ranking second in rushing (233.0 ypg) and fifth in passing (247.9 ypg) offense. Defensively, Monmouth is allowing a league-worst 445.6 total yards of offense and opponents are scoring 34.1 ppg.
- The offense moves behind Jaden Shirden, who leads the nation with 151.7 rushing yards per game. He and Owen Wright have combined to find the end zone 26 times on the ground.
- Tony Muskett has passed for 1,997 yards and 17 touchdowns but missed Monmouth's previous game. Enzo Arjona stepped in and completed 18-of-25 passes for 213 yards and three scores.
- Dymere Miller and Assanti Kearney lead the receiving corps and have combined for 77 receptions, 1,215 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
- On the defense, Da'Quan Grimes leads the way with 71.0 tackles, while Davis Smith has three interceptions on the back end.
