Lyra, Pastris Claim Women's Swimming And Diving Weekly CAA Honors

NEWARK, Del. - Anthi Lyra and Alex Pastris earned weekly CAA Awards after helping lead Delaware's women's swimming and diving team to a victory over William & Mary and James Madison on Saturday, as announced by the conference on Nov. 8, 2022.Â
Lyra was named CAA Swimmer of the Week after she picked up first-place finishes in the 500 free and 1000 free. The sophomore posted a time of 10:22.30 in the 1000, the ninth fastest in program history and fourth best in the CAA this season. Her time of 5:02.61 in the 500 ranks fifth among all swimmers in the conference this year.

Pastris placed first on the 1-meter board and third in the 3-meter competition to earn her second CAA Diver of the Week honor. The freshman improved on her NCAA Zone cut score on the 1-meter board with a personal best 286.65 points and also set a new personal best on the 3-meter board with a score of 279.30.
Lyra and Pastris will compete against La Salle and Rider on Nov. 11 in Philadelphia, Penn.Players Mentioned
