PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Delaware women's basketball team will open their two-game road trip Sunday afternoon (Dec. 11) against Princeton inside Jadwin Gymnasium in Princeton, N.J. Opening tip is slated for 6 p.m.

Up Next: Delaware will close out their two-game road trip next Sunday, Dec. 18 when the Blue Hens travel to Bethlehem, Pa. and rumble with Lehigh inside Stabler Arena. Opening tip is slated for 2 p.m.
What You Need to Know:
- This will be the 29th time Delaware and Princeton will be meeting in program history, with the Blue Hens holding 17-11 all-time record and 7-6 mark on the road. This will be the first time dating back to the 2017-18 season since the Blue Hens faced the Tigers inside Jadwin Gymnasium.
- The last time Delaware and Princeton met was last season, Nov. 12, 2021 when the Blue Hens suffered a 76-56 home setback to the Tigers. The last time the Blue Hens were victorious in Princeton, N.J. was during the 2011-12 season by capturing the 81-70 win.
- Delaware will be looking to return back to winning ways after dropping a 66-55 home decision last Sunday afternoon (Dec. 4) to Duquesne.
- The statline vs. Duquesne: Makayla Pippin paced Delaware with 10 points (3-6 FG) and nine rebounds while Jewel Smalls (eight rebounds) and Tara Cousins (four assists, three steals) poured in nine points each.
- Princeton's last time out was Thursday evening (Dec. 9) for a road showdown against No. 6 UConn. The Tigers furious rally fell just short to the Huskies, 69-64. Princeton was paced by Grace Stone's career-high 20 points and Kaitlyn Chen's 18 points.
- The Tigers are currently ranked third on Dec. 6 College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
- Among the national leaders as of Dec. 10, Delaware, as a unit, ranks 44th in field goal percentage defense (35.5) and 45th in defensive rebounds per game (29.0). Smalls ranks 31st in three pointers per game (2.88) while Pippin ranks 36th in rebounds per game (9.6).
