Three in a Row! Jyare Davis Named CAA Rookie of the Week Again

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen forward Jyare Davis earned his third consecutive Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week award announced Monday.
Davis averaged 14.0 points and 4.0 rebounds last week while shooting 12 of 19 (63.2%) from the field. He scored 12 points on 6 of 9 shooting and grabbed five rebounds in Thursday's win over Northeastern, and led the Blue Hens with 16 points vs. Hofstra on Saturday.
After reaching double figures in just one of his first 17 games, he has scored in double digits in each of the last four contests, averaging 15.5 points in that stretch. Over his last six games Davis is shooting 33 of 48 (68.8%) from the field, while his 67.3 percentage in conference games ranks fourth in the league.
Davis is the third Blue Hen to earn three consecutive CAA Rookie of the Week awards, along with Devon Saddler in 2011 and Jarvis Threatt in 2012.
