Blue Hens Tie For Sixth Place at Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

EATONTON, Ga. – The Delaware women's golf team opened its spring season by tying for sixth place at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational.
The Blue Hens shot a 295 on Friday before firing 308 rounds during the final two days to tie for sixth out of 14 teams with a 911 total. East Tennessee State won the team title with an 887 score, while tournament host Mercer finished 11 shots back.
UD freshman Lilia Henkel carded an even par 72 during her final round on the par 72, 6,001-yard Great Waters course to tie for fifth place among individuals at five over par 72-77-72=221. Henkel birdied the 10th hole and made just one bogey during Sunday's round.
Anna Kittelson finished in 29th place with a 12 over par 70-79-79=228, while Oihana Etxezarreta tied for 36th place with a 15 over par 76-78-77=231.
Lexi Dart, playing as an individual, enjoyed the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen as she made four birdies during her one under par 71 round. Dart, who finished at 78-83-71=232, and Christina Carroll, who shot 78-74-80=232, each tied for 41st place at 16 over par.
Alisa Khokhlova posted a 27 over par 77-83-83=243 to finish in 70th place.
Delaware returns to action on Feb. 28-Mar. 1 at the Rivertowne Invitational in Charleston, S.C.
