ELKTON, Md. – The University of Delaware women's tennis continued its winning ways on Sunday, sweeping Long Island University 7-0 at Elkton Indoor Tennis. With the victory, the Blue Hens have now won five-straight matches and improved to 6-1 overall.

The duo of Isabella Montana and Samantha Svendsen claimed a 6-4 victory at the No. 2 doubles position to clinch the point after Alina Vasilenko and Dominika Sujova opened doubles play with a 6-1 win at No. 3.

The Blue Hens rolled from there, winning all six singles matches. Vasilenko (6-2, 6-3) and Svendsen (6-1, 6-4) got things started with victories at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Eliza Askarova clinched the team win with a 6-3, 6-4 decision at No. 1.

Julieta Honrubia (6-1, 7-5), Montana (6-0, 6-4) and Sujova (6-0, 7-5) all finished with straight-set victories as well.

The Blue Hens will head back out on the road next weekend when they travel to Richmond, Virginia for a 1 p.m. match at VCU.
