MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Freshman Tonislav Sabev competed in the Last Chance Meet hosted by West Virginia Sunday.
Sabev broke his own school record in the 100 Breast, touching the wall in 52.39 in West Virginia. His new time in the 100 Breast currently ranks 36th in the country.Â
The Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, native previously set the 100 Breast record twice in the same day of the CAA Championships (Feb. 18). He first broke the record in the prelims (53.31) and then earned a silver medal in the 100 Breast finals, setting the program record while also breaking the meet record with a time of 52.53.
Sabev will compete in the Last Chance Meet hosted by Princeton, Saturday, March 5, in efforts to lower his time to qualify for NCAA's.
