Jyare Davis Earns Second Straight CAA Rookie of the Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen forward Jyare Davis earned his second consecutive Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week award announced Monday.

Davis scored 12 points on 5 of 8 shooting from the field during last Thursday's home game vs. Drexel. He also grabbed five rebounds during 25 minutes on the floor.

Davis, who has reached double figures in consecutive games after scoring a career-high 22 points at JMU, is averaging 5.8 points and 2.3 rebounds on the season while shooting 57.8 percent from the field.

Davis and the Blue Hens are back home for two games this week, hosting Northeastern Thursday at 7 p.m. and Hofstra Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
