Dylan Painter Named NABC Second Team All-District 10

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Delaware forward Dylan Painter was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) second team All-District 10 on Tuesday.
Painter, who was selected to the first team last year, becomes the fourth Blue Hen in program history to earn multiple NABC honors along with Mike Pegues (1999, 2000), Jamelle Hagins (2012, 2013) and Devon Saddler (2012, 2013, 2014).
Painter, who has appeared in 29 games while making 23 starts this year, leads the Blue Hens and ranks ninth in the CAA with 6.6 rebounds per game. He is also second on the Blue Hens with an 11.9 scoring average and third with a 55.1 field goal percentage.
Painter's five 20-point efforts are tied for the team lead, while he tied his career-high with 23 points to go with 12 rebounds in the home win over Elon. He also added 22 points at UNCW and 21 at Temple.
Painter and the CAA champion Blue Hens have earned a No. 15 seed in the NCAA Tournament's South Region and will take on second-seeded Villanova in the first round on Friday at 2:45 p.m. in Pittsburgh. The game will be televised nationally by CBS.
