Men’s Tennis Preview: SC State, Charleston, Citadel

» The University of Delaware men's tennis program travels to the state of South Carolina this week as the Blue Hens will spend Spring Break playing three matches against three different opponents. UD will open the week with a Sunday afternoon match at South Carolina State starting at 12 p.m. The Blue Hens will take on Charleston in a CAA matchup at 3 p.m. on Tuesday before closing the trip with an 11:30 a.m. contest at The Citadel on Thursday.

» The Blue & Gold is currently 6-8 on the season and will look to carry momentum from its 6-1 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday. Delaware claimed the doubles point before sealing the win with five victories in singles play.

» South Carolina State is currently 7-6 on the season and is playing Howard at home on Saturday. The Bulldogs have won four-straight matches with victories over Lehigh, Colgate, Coppin State and Morgan State.

» Charleston is 6-6 on the year and enters the Tuesday's contest on a four-match winning streak. The Cougars have three-straight decisions by 4-3 scores, including a tight victory over James Madison in CAA action.

» The Citadel is 6-19, having already played 25 matches this spring. The Bulldogs will have not played in two weeks heading into Thursday's match and have lost five of their past seven contests.
