Women’s Tennis Preview: SC State, Charleston & Charleston Southern

» The University of Delaware women's tennis team will play three matches in five days in the state of South Carolina during its Spring Break trip. The Blue & Gold will take on South Carolina State on Sunday for a 12 p.m. contest before traveling to Charleston for a 2 p.m. CAA matchup on Tuesday afternoon. The trip will conclude on Thursday afternoon when the Blue Hens play Charleston Southern at 12 p.m.

» The Blue & Gold enter the week with a 12-3 overall record after sweeping a pair of matches on Sunday over St. Francis Brooklyn and Goldey-Beacom. Delaware dropped just two sets in the two 7-0 victories.

» South Carolina State is currently 4-7 on the season having dropped two of its past three matches heading into a Saturday contest at North Carolina Central.

» Charleston is 14-6 on the season and 3-0 against CAA competition, having beaten Elon, William & Mary and Towson. The Cougars had a 10-match winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 5-0 loss at No. 27 Georgia Tech.

» Charleston Southern is 10-3 entering a Saturday afternoon matchup against No. 27 Georgia Tech. The Buccaneers, who will also play at Presbyterian on Tuesday before Thursday matchup, have won six-consecutive matches, including a pair of 7-0 sweeps of Rhode Island and Fairfield.
