Men’s Basketball Adds Houston Emory to Roster

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware men's basketball has added freshman Houston Emory to the roster for the 2022-23 season, head coach Martin Ingelsby announced Friday. The Devon, Pa. native joins the incoming class made up of freshmen Gabe Moss and Cavan Reilly, as well as transfers L.J. Owens and Christian Ray.

"We are very excited to welcome Houston to our Blue Hen basketball family," Ingelsby said. "Houston is a skilled forward with a high motor, great athleticism, and an ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He is a high character young man who comes from a great family and as he continues to develop, has a chance to be a special player at this level."

The 6-9, 195 pound forward joins the Blue Hens after graduating from the Blue Ridge School in 2022. A four-year letterman and state champion, the Devon, Pa. native captained his final two seasons for the Raiders. Emory, the single season record holder for blocks with 89, was a First Team All-State and First Team All-VIC selection as a senior. Over his final two seasons, he averaged just under 7.5 points per game, while accounting for over 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per outing.
