Swimming & Diving Announces 2022-23 Slate

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware swimming and diving teams will host six meets during the 2022-23 season as head coach Pablo Marmolejo announced the schedule on Monday.
"I'm very excited for our 2022-23 schedule. It will challenge our team in a different way than previous years," Marmolejo. "We are facing new opponents, which will bring a new set of challenges and we will also have a new venue for our CAA Championships. We are looking forward to getting back to the pool and work towards another great season."
Delaware will open competition at home on Sept. 24 with the Blue & Gold Invitational, followed by a meet on Oct. 15 when the Blue Hens welcome UMBC & Johns Hopkins to Newark.Â
Delaware will head to New Haven, Conn. On Oct. 22 to compete at Yale University, before returning for their final home meet of 2022 on Nov. 5 versus William & Mary and James Madison.
The Blue Hens will close out the winter with four meets beginning on Nov. 12 in Philadelphia versus La Salle and Rider, Bison Invitational from Nov. 18-20 in Lewisburg, Pa., West Chester Invitational on Dec. 2 in West Chester, Pa., and the US Open in Greensboro, NC from Nov. 30-Dec. 3.
The program's annual winter training trip will take place Dec. 27 to Jan. 2 in Fort Myers, Fla.
Coming out of the winter break, the Blue Hens will have four meets prior to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships.
The Blue Hens will travel up I-95 to compete at Drexel on Jan. 7. Delaware will host three consecutive meets on Jan. 14 vs. Seton Hall. Jan. 28 vs. Towson, and Feb. 4 with the Blue Hen Invite.
The 2023 CAA Championships will be held in Hampton, Va. From Feb. 22-25. NCAA Diving Zones is scheduled for March 6-8 in Morgantown, Va., while the CSCAA National Invite will be held in Elkhart, Ind. From March 9-11.
