Cross Country Meet Preview: Delaware Opener

What You Need to Know

Delaware is set to host the Delaware Opener for its first meet of the 2022 season.
The Blue Hens look to be on the winning side of its season opener after placing second last year at the Towson Invitational with Katie Hally leading the charge.
Fifth-year head coach Ryan Waite and his roster of 21 blue and gold runners began their preseason training on Aug. 20. The squad has been preparing to remain a strong force in the newly-shaped CAA conference.
Delaware will see 18 different athletes competing at the opener, including Hannah Lindgren and Kate Rathman, who were part of UD's ninth-place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals last season.
