LORETTO, Pa. - Delaware Women's Soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to Saint Francis this afternoon.

Delaware (1-3-3) had 13 shots, five in the first half, and seven total on goal for the game. Three Blue Hens had two shots apiece in the outing. The Blue Hens held Saint Francis to six shots during the match.

Saint Francis (1-7) scored the game's only goal in the 24th minute. Rita Kendziora scored high center to give the Red Flash a 1-0 lead and the game-winning goal.

Goalkeeper Mia Reed had two saves in the outing to improve to 32 saves on the season.

Saint Francis' Sarah McConnon had seven saves for the Red Flash.

Delaware returns home to host Sacred Heart on Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. at Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium. The first fans will receive free military themed hats for First Responder Appreciation Day.
