Sofia Hollingsworth Joins Softball Signing Class

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware Softball Head Coach Jen Steele has announced the addition of Sofia Hollingsworth to this year's signing class. Hollingsworth, an infielder from Upland, California, joins six other newcomers who previously signed with the program in November and will join the Blue Hens next fall as a member of the University of Delaware Class of 2027.

A four-year varsity member at Upland High School … Helped lead Upton to a CIF Sectional Championship in 2021, homering in a quarterfinal victory … Named MVP of the World Fastpitch Championship Game in Kansas City … In the classroom, is an honor roll student.
Delaware finished the 2022 season with a 29-16 overall record and went 11-4 in conference play, winning the program's first-ever CAA Regular Season Championship. The Blue Hens will open the 2023 season the weekend of February 10-12 when the squad travels to Houston to play in the 2023 Bearkat Classic, hosted by Sam Houston State, as well as the Houston Invitational.
