COACHES QUOTE
- "First of all, I want to congratulate our seniors. They have grown so much this year and are absolutely the standard bearers for leading self. We said to them when we came in that they will drive how this season goes. Credit to them, they have stepped up, tackled adversity head on and the team is resilient because of their actions. We get at least five more games with our seniors and are excited about putting an undefeated week together," head coach Kelly Lawrence said. "The shutout was big for us today also. We will continue to double down on the final details which will lead to one point turning in to three. Today we celebrate our seniors and tomorrow we get right back to focusing on getting better together."
- "So proud of this team and our ability to fight for all 90 minutes," Katie Hackley said. "Our refusal to give up was apparent today and something we pride ourselves on. Of course we wanted the win, but are more motivated and excited than ever to get back on the pitch together this Thursday. I couldn't ask for a better senior class to be a part of and it's an absolute honor to wear the jersey alongside my best friends and represent this program. We will continue to do everything together and keep fighting and growing as a whole."
- The Blue Hens had seven shots on the day, including three shots on goal.
- Morgan Tilley and Cassandra Saldarini had multiple shots on the day, while Sydni Wright, Raychel Speicher, and Izzy Lane each had a shot.
- Kyla Burns and Mia Reed split time in net today. Burns started the game, played for the first 81 minutes, and had a season high eight saves on the season. Reed came in to play the last nine minutes and helped the Blue Hens defense produce a shut out.
- One of the Blue Hens best chances of the day came in the 20th minute where Lea Panagiotidis found Morgan Tilley in front of the goal. Panagiotidis' cross was placed well, but Tilley's sliding effort forced the ball to go over the net.
- With less than a minute left, Sydni Wright was in position to play hero for the second game in a row. Her shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
