No. 8/8 Football Set for First Matchup with Campbell

NEWARK, Del. – The No. 8/8 University of Delaware football team heads south for its final road contest of the regular season when it travels to CAA-newcomer Campbell on Saturday. Kickoff at Barker-Lane Stadium in Buies Creek, North Carolina is set for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on FloSports.

ABOUT THE HENS
- Delaware is 7-2 on the season and in a five-way tie atop the CAA standings with a 5-1 record in league play.
- Following last week's loss to Elon, Delaware slipped in both national polls, but remained in the top 10. The Blue Hens sit at No. 8 in both the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 poll and AFCA Coaches Poll.
- In the setback to Elon, Ryan O'Connor passed for 315 yards and a touchdown, while also running for his first-career score.
- Joshua Youngblood, Marcus Yarns and JoJo Bermudez all found the end zone as well, while Youngblood and Bermudez accounted for 161 and 155 all-purpose yards, respectively.
- Jackson Taylor led the defense with 13 tackles, and Melkart Abou-Jaoude had 3.0 TFLs. Delaware's defense finished with a season-high 13.0 TFLs, the program's most in a game since 2008.
- Yarns' rushing touchdown was his 14th of the season, which is tied for 10th in a single season in program history. He is second in the country with 17 total touchdowns this season.
- The Blue Hens have four different receivers who have at least 20 catches on the season and are averaging at least 30 receiving yards per game.
ABOUT THE CAMELS
- Campbell enters Saturday with a 4-5 overall record and a 3-3 mark in CAA play. The Camels have lost its last two games on the road at Richmond and North Carolina, but boast conference wins over Maine, Hampton and Monmouth.
- The offense is averaging 31.2 ppg and 400.3 ypg of total offense, while the defense is allowing 34.1 ppg and 429.9 total yards to opponents.
- Hajj-Malik Williams has completed 73 percent of his passes for 2,270 and 17 touchdowns while throwing just six interceptions. He has also rushed for 232 yards and four scores.
- NaQuari Rogers leads the ground attack with 58.7 rushing yards per game and has scored six touchdowns. Lamagea McDowell and Chris McKay Jr. have combined for nine rushing touchdowns.
- Campbell has four receivers who are averaging at least 40 receiving yards per game and have combined for 14 touchdown grabs.
- CJ Tillman leads the Camels' defense with 82 tackles and has 5.0 TFLs. George Wilson has a team-high 3.0 sacks and Ed Dennis has two interceptions in the secondary.
SERIES HISTORY
- This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
- Campbell is in its first year in the CAA.
