Abidullina and Askarova Named CAA Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware women's tennis doubles pair Adel-Byanu Abidullina and Eliza Askarova were named CAA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Abidullina and Askarova handed the No. 1 doubles team at ACC member Syracuse its first dual match loss of the season last Sunday. The Delaware duo defeated Zeynep Erman and Miyuka Kimoto 6-2 to help the Blue Hens clinch the doubles point versus the unbeaten Orange. Abidullina also knocked off Kimoto 6-2, 7-6 (5) at No. 1 singles in Delaware's 5-2 team setback.
The Blue Hens are back in action Saturday at Quinnipiac.
