Women’s Tennis Handles Quinnipiac on the Road

HAMDEN, Conn. – Delaware women's tennis (2-2) handled Quinnipiac (1-3) on the road Saturday, finishing with a 6-1 score late in the evening.

"We came out strong at number one doubles, and we were able to clinch the point by being steady," Director of Tennis Pablo Montana said. "In singles, we looked good throughout the entire match, and we were able to outlast them at the end."

All three doubles teams picked up victories to secure the initial point of the match.

The Hens rolled in singles play, with the lone loss coming in the second slot in three sets. Alina Vasilenko, Maryia Hrynashka, Isabella Montana, and Katie Dollens all cruised to straight set wins, while Julieta Honrubia endured some difficulties and persevered with a victory in the fourth flight.

Delaware returns to the court against Villanova on Friday.
