Kurtz, Grant, Named CAA Players of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware men's lacrosse attackman Tye Kurtz and defensemen Owen Grant were named Colonial Athletic Association's Players of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday.
For Kurtz, this is his second CAA Offensive Player of the Week honor, earning his first back-on-back on Feb. 13. Grant earns his first CAA Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
This past week, Kurtz tallied up six goals and five assists, helping the Blue Hens to wins against UMBC and Monmouth. Against the Retrievers, Kurtz scored four goals and added two assists. He scored two goals and collected a season-high three assists against Monmouth. The redshirt senior leads the country in goals with 27 and is second in points with 39.
Grant caused six turnovers, collected seven ground balls, and scored his first goal of the season last week. Against UMBC, he caused four turnovers, leading to the 100th of his career. At the time, he was one of two active players in the country with 100 or more career-caused turnovers. Against Monmouth, he caused two turnovers and scored his first goal of the season.
The Blue Hens travel to Baltimore, Md. to take on No. 9/10/16 Johns Hopkins on Sunday, March 19.
