Kilkeary Signs with Redwoods Lacrosse Club

NEWARK, Del. -Â Delaware men's lacrosse goalkeeper Matt Kikeary has signed with the Redwoods Lacrosse Club of the Premier League Lacrosse (PLL), the organization announced on Tuesday night.
Kilkeary becomes the second Blue Hen this May to join the Redwoods, joining defender Owen Grant, who was selected second overall by the club back on May 11 during the PLL draft. Both Kilkeary and Grant join assistant coaches John Grant and Chris Collins, both of whom are alumni of the Delaware men's lacrosse program.
Kilkeary is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Colonial Athletic Association from the 2023 season. He started in all 18 games for the Blue Hens, had a goals against average of 9.44 and a .530 save percentage. In regular season play, Kilkeary posted a .500 save percentage of better in nine games, including a career high .900 save percentage against Hampton. His play in the regular season earned him a spot on the All-CAA first team.
The graduate student from Lake Sherwood, Calif. put on a show during the CAA Tournament, allowing just nine goals per contest and had a .571 save percentage, leading him to become the tournaments Most Outstanding Player.
The Redwoods Lacrosse Club open the season on June 3 against the Atlas Lacrosse Club.
