Delaware Ranked No. 13 in Final Inside Lacrosse Poll

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware men's lacrosse finishes the season ranked No. 13 in the final Inside Lacrosse poll, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Delaware finished the season 13-5 overall. The Blue Hens clinched their third straight Colonial Athletic Association regular season title, and their second straight CAA tournament title. In the NCAA Tournament, the Blue Hens broke the program record for most goals scored in an NCAA Tournament game in their 25-10 win over Marist.
Marist, but fell to Duke 12-11 in the First Round. The Blue Devils went on to play in the National Championship against Notre Dame.
Offensively, the Blue Hens were led by Tye Kurtz who had 88 points off 58 goals and 30 assists. Owen Grant and Matt Kilkeary led the efforts on defense. Grant broke his own program record for most caused turnovers with 38. Kilkeary posted a .530 save percentage and a 9.44 goals against average.
Kurtz, Grant, and Kilkeary are all set to play in the Premier Lacrosse League opening weekend. Grant and Kilkeary are on Redwoods Lacrosse Club, and will take on Atlas Lacrosse Club on Saturday, June 3. Kurtz plays for Choas Lacrosse Club and takes on the Waterdogs Lacrosse Club, who are the 2022 PLL champions, and include former Blue Hens Matt DeLuca and Charlie Kitcken, on Sunday, June 4.
