NEWARK, Del. - Delaware baseball head coach Greg Mamula announces the hiring of Bryan Torresani to be the programs recruiting coordinator on Monday.
Â
"We are excited to have Bryan, his wife Chelsea, daughter Paige and son Carson joining Delaware Baseball," Mamula said. "A highly respected and successful coach, Bryan will serve as our recruiting coordinator. Having coached and recruited in the region for the past 16 years, Bryan's connections will be instrumental in our recruiting of the region's top players. Additionally, I see Bryan's success as a collegiate head coach as a tremendous asset with the development of our student-athletes as well as with the day to day operations of our program."
Â
Torresani comes from Arcadia where he was the programs head baseball coach for the last seven seasons. During this tenure with the Knights, Torresani posted a 187-91 overall record, including a 101-34 record in the Mid-Atlantic Conference, leading to four MAC championships.Â
Â
The Knights set the program record for most wins in a season twice, first in 2017 with 33 wins, and most recently in 2022 with 40 wins. In 2022, Torresani was named the ABCA Region IV, D3baseball.com, and MAC Coach of the Year. This led to the program reching the NCAA Regional Finals in the same year.Â
Â
Additionally with the Knights, he coached four players who would later become graduate transfers at four Division One institutions, five MAC Player and Pitcher of the Year, 33 All-Conference Selections, 17 ABCA All-Region selections, 13 D3Baseball.com All-Region selections, and three Division III All-America honorees.
Â
Prior to his time at Arcadia, he spent three seasons as the Head Baseball Coach/Manager of Athletic Facilities at Immaculata University from 2013-2016. He posted a 78-68 record with the Mighty Macs, including an appearance in the program's first ever conference championship in 2016.Â
Â
He also spent time with La Salle University as the Assistant Baseball Coach, and had a five year stint with Chestnut Hill College as the program's Assistant Head Baseball Coach/Associate Director of Admissions.Â
Â
Torresani graduated from Elizabethtown College in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in Social Studies Education. He also received his Masters degree in Administration of Human Services at Chestnut Hill College in 2010.
