NEWARK, Del. - Delaware's volleyball team begins the 2023 seasons at home in the Bob Carpenter Center hosting the Blue Hen Invitational against Loyola (Md.), Niagara, and Robert Morris from August 25-27, 2023.Â

2023 Headlines
- Lani Mason was selected by the conference's head coaches as the preseason Player of the Year and Preseason All-CAA Team.
- Ezgi Basaranlar received CAA Preseason Honorable Mention recognition.
- Delaware was also selected to finish second with 102 points in the preseason poll behind Towson, who were unanimously picked to place first.
- The Blue Hens return 15 overall players from last year's squad. Along with Mason and Basaranlar, Delaware returns Savannah Seemans, Eileen Gex, Kirah Johnson, Hannah Wright, Amelia Painter, Lily Rogers, Mackenzie Sobczyk, Cadence Nguyen, Madelyn Grunza, Emily Chrysogelos, Dylan Norris, Asia Murray, and Claire Flood.Â
- Freshmen joining the program include Kennedi Inman, Gha'Naye Whitfield-Moss, Morgan Campbell, and Anna Logan Gillens.
- Delaware will host the Blue Hen Invitational from August 25-27 against Loyola (Md.), Niagara, and Robert Morris.
- The following weekend, they head to the UTSA Tournament against Tarleton State, UTSA, and Lamar. They conclude their non-conference schedule by hosting their second tournament against Villanova and Rider from Sept. 8-10.Â
- Conference play begins with CAA newcomer Campbell making their way to Newark on Sept. 16-17. Delaware has a rematch of the CAA Championship from last season with Towson up next, before playing Charleston, Northeastern, and Stony Brook. They'll conclude the regular season against Hofstra, UNCW, N.C. A&T, and Elon. The CAA Conference Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 16-18.Â
- Delaware will look to continue last year's CAA Tournament Championship game run in 2022, where they went 17-11 and 10-6 in the CAA in Kimberly Lambert's first season at the helm.
