Field Hockey Falls to No. 11-Ranked Penn State on the Road 4-1

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The University of Delaware field hockey team fell 4-1 to No. 11-ranked Penn State University Sunday afternoon on the road.
HENS HIGHLIGHTS
- Kiki Oudshoorn scored the Hens lone goal for her fifth straight game with a goal
- Kylie Walbert had five saves on the day
- As a team, the Hens outshot the Nittany Lions 14-13
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oudshoorn put the Hens up 1-0 at the 3:59 mark in the first quarter.
- The Lions scored twice in the second to take a 2-1 lead headed into the break.
- In the third, PSU extended its lead to 3-1 with a goal at the 35:33 mark and followed that with a late fourth quarter goal off a penalty corner to down the Hens 4-1.
UP NEXT
Delaware returns to action on Friday, Sept. 15 as the Blue Hens head to Hempstead, N.Y. for a bout against Hofstra University to open CAA action. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
