Field Hockey Lands at No. 20 in the Latest NFHCA Rankings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – The University of Delaware field hockey team was ranked No. 20 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, the NFHCA announced Tuesday morning.
Delaware comes off a two-game road trip that saw the Blue Hens go 1-1 as they squared off against Hofstra in the first CAA matchup of the season followed by a non-conference bout with No. 13-ranked Saint Joe's.
In Friday's CAA contest, the Hens topped the Pride 1-0 behind an unassisted goal from senior Berber Bakermans. Then on Sunday, the Blue & Gold faced a tough Saint Joe's squad, falling 3-1 on the road.
The Hens look forward to their second CAA matchup of the season as Delaware hosts Monmouth on Friday, Sept. 22 followed by a non-conference contest against UConn on Sunday, Sept. 24.
