Men’s Basketball Returns Home for Thursday, Saturday Games

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team returns home for two games with North Carolina A&T Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by a matchup with Towson on Saturday at 2 p.m. Saturday's game is Alumni Day and will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.

ABOUT THE HENS

Delaware enters Thursday's game with a 3-3 record in CAA action and 11-8 overall.
Last week, the Hens beat Stony Brook, 71-68, and fell at Drexel, 86-67.
Jyáre Davis became the sixth player in the nation this season and first Blue Hen since at least 2010-11 to record at least 29 points and 17 boards in a game when he did so against Stony Brook.
Davis continues to lead the Hens in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game.
Gerald Drumgoole Jr. and Cavan Reilly are the other Hens averaging double figures at 13.0 and 10.0 points per game, respectively.
Christian Ray's 8.3 rebounds per game leads the Hens and are good for second in the CAA.
Delaware sits sixth in the CAA in scoring averaging with 75.5 points per game and is fourth with a +4.4-scoring margin.

ABOUT THE AGGIES

The Aggies enter Thursday night's contest with a 4-2 record in CAA play and are 6-13 overall.
North Carolina A&T is led by former UD head coach and 2014 CAA Champion Monté Ross.
NC A&T has won three-straight games with wins over Hampton, Northeastern, and William & Mary.
Landon Glasper leads the Aggies in scoring with 21.3 points per game. He's the reigning CAA Player of the Week after averaging over 28.0 points per game in a 3-0 week.
Glasper's 21.3 points per game is tied for second in the CAA and is tied for 10th in the nation.
Camian Shell averages 11.6 as the Aggies only other double figure scorer.
North Carolina A&T is currently 12th in the CAA in scoring with 69.9 points per game and rank last in scoring margin at -10.6.

ABOUT THE TIGERS

Towson enters Saturday's game 4-2 in CAA play and 11-8 overall with a game against Drexel on Thursday.
Towson has won two-straight games with wins over Charleston and Campbell.
The Tigers feature three players averaging double figures with Christian May (11.8 ppg), Tyler Tejada (10.9 ppg), and Nendah Tarke (10.8 ppg).
Charles Thompson's 8.2 boards per game rank third in the league.
Towson is currently 13th in the conference in scoring with 67.5 points per game, but are sixth in the league with a +3.4 scoring margin.

SERIES HISTORIES

Thursday's matchup against the Aggies will be the second all-time meeting between the two schools. The Hens are 1-0 after defeating NC A&T 73-71 last season.
Saturday's game against Towson will be the 91st matchup between the Hens and Tigers.
Delaware holds a 48-42 record over Towson, but the Tigers have won the last two.
