Men’s Tennis Battles to Hard-Fought 6-1 Win Over William & Mary

WILMINGTON, Del. – University of Delaware men's tennis picked up a hard-fought 6-1 win over William & Mary on Sunday to begin the spring season. The victory signifies the first for head coach Marc Pibernat at UD. The Blue Hens move to 1-0, 1-0 CAA, while the Tribe drop to 0-2, 0-1 CAA.
ON THE RECORD
"We could have not asked for a better season opener with this big win over William & Mary," Pibernat said. "We worked very hard to prepare for this match and the players gave us everything they had during these two weeks, so we knew as coaches that the team was ready to take on this battle. Outstanding performance today from the Blue Hens and we will go back to work on Tuesday to prepare our match at Penn State next Saturday."
