Townsend Tabbed CAA Diver of the Week

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware men's diver Philip Townsend has been awarded the Coastal Athletic Association's Diver of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Townsend swept both boards to help Delaware post a 160-140 team victory over Towson. The junior took the top spot in the 1-meter competition with a score of 288.15 and claimed the 3-meter competition with a score of 276.00.

This is the third time in Townsend's career, and the first time since Nov. 15, 2023, that he has received the conference's diver of the week award.

The Blue Hens will close out the regular season with the Blue Hen Invite on Feb. 3 at the Harry W. Rawstorm Natatorium in the Carpenter Sports Building starting at 10 a.m. This will be the final meet the Blue Hens compete in before the start of the CAA Championships from Feb. 28 – March 2.
